The Ten of Swords is one of the most disturbing images of the deck. It represents painful endings, ruin and betrayal. You've hit rock bottom, and things cannot get any worse. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

 

When this card appears, you've been through the worst of it and, now you're able to move on from the pain and suffering. Rise out of the ashes like the Phoenix! Learn from your pain.

 

The number Ten represents completing a cycle and the beginning of a new phase. Tens indicate transformation and regeneration.

 

When the Ten of Swords appears, something may have come to an abrupt end. It could be a relationship, job or a toxic situation. You may have ended a negative pattern in your life that was causing you harm. It can suggest you may have been subjected to cruelty and manipulation, and the situation may have left you vulnerable and open to abuse.

 

You may feel like you've been stabbed in the back when this card shows up. It indicates that lies and deception have been revealed, and motives are now out in the open.

 

The blessing with this card is that now you know the truth, you're in a good position to learn valuable lessons, gain wisdom from your experience, and move forward into a fresh new cycle. You may have come through a depressing time. Loss of faith and trust and a big dent in your confidence could be holding you back.

 

Now's a good time to surround yourself with good people and positive environments. Distant yourself from drama and negativity, or you could end up remaining in the darkness. Be careful to whom you give your time and attention. If they continue to hurt and disrespect you, only you can remove yourself from their presence.

If you're in a bad situation detrimental to your health, it would be wise to leave. Find courage and bravery to stop whatever is causing you mental and emotional pain, and start a new chapter.
